Alimzhan “Watson” Islambekov advises carry players to stay on their lane for as long as possible while leveling up their hero.
The
Team Yandex carry shared this advice on Twitch.
“My advice is, if you’re playing carry, try to stay on your lane as long as possible. Never rush to the ‘triangle,’ and don’t go stand in the off-lane. Try to farm the lane, even if the tower gets destroyed. Farm the lane and the nearby jungle, because that’s where most of the camps are.
If you go to the “triangle,” there are two camps and the lane. For example, if you’re on Radiant: farm the “triangle,” push the lane, farm the two camps—the big one and the small one—and return to the “triangle.” That’s very little farm. If you’re in the bot lane for Radiant, you farm the pack, four camps from the bottom, and another six or seven camps in the jungle—you just walk around and farm like crazy.”
According to Alimzhan “Watson” Islambekov, a carry player is best off staying on their lane without switching to other positions, since it’s the most favorable for farming. The
Team Yandex carry advises continuing to farm the lane even if the opponents have already destroyed the tower.
As a reminder, Alimzhan “Watson” Islambekov previously named the best hero for the carry position in Dota 2.
