Alimzhan "Watson" Islambekov, the new carry for Gaimin Gladiators, responded to criticism of his transfer to the team, stating that he seized the opportunity and will continue to play for the roster.

He shared this in an interview with Cybersport.

"Well, I saw a lot of news, but I didn’t really feel anything inside because of it. Some people were flaming, saying, 'Where did I go?' But what, should I have turned it down? I tried, I seized the opportunity. So, I just agreed and I'm playing"

The esports player admitted to being puzzled by the criticism and doesn’t understand why haters think he should have declined the chance to join a Tier 1 team just because of the backlash. He also revealed that this was the only transfer offer he received after TI13, which is why he accepted, although not right away.

It’s worth noting that he replaced Anton "Dyrachyo" Shkredov in the carry position, who openly expressed his thoughts about GG after being kicked from the team.
