Alimzhan "Watson" Islambekov, the carry for
Entity, admitted that his performance significantly dropped due to illness. He also mentioned that he infected his teammates during the bootcamp, affecting their performance as well.
The esports athlete shared this information in a comment to Metaratings.
"I would rate my form at 6 out of 10. I got sick right after the new year and flew to the bootcamp with a fever; there was very strong weakness. I also infected the others. Now I feel better, and I feel that I play better"
However, he announced that he would soon showcase stronger gameplay as he regains his previous form. It's worth noting that this situation also impacted his position in the Dota 2 player rankings. After holding the first position for almost the entire 2023, he was surpassed by Quinn "Quinn" Callahan, the midlaner for
Gaimin Gladiators.
Recall that Quinn managed to defeat Yatoro and Watson, earning him the title of the best Dota 2 player in the official European ladder.
