Watson admitted that he almost stopped playing pubs

Alimzhan “Watson” Islam­bekov said that he barely plays Dota 2 pubs anymore, because their quality has dropped significantly, and now he is more focused on scrims and official matches.

The esports player spoke about this in an interview with CyberMeta.

“Before I always wanted to keep this rank and tried very hard in pubs, now pubs are so terrible that there is no desire to try hard and waste energy. Now I prefer to play scrims and tournaments”

Watson admitted that earlier he constantly maintained his rank and was grinding matchmaking a lot, but now everything has changed. According to him the quality of pubs has fallen so much that he simply has no motivation to spend time and nerves on them,

He added that now he is more focused on team practice and official matches. The player noted that he enjoys this type of games more. It is worth mentioning that refusing to grind pubs has already affected Watson’s MMR rating. If before he was consistently first or second in the European Dota 2 leaderboard, now he has dropped to 14th place in the ranking.
