Nikolai Petrosyan, the head of
Virtus.pro, said that Dota 2 remains an important cybersport area for the organization. According to the representative of the cybersport club, the new roster may be presented to fans by the end of this year.
Nikolai Petrosyan made the corresponding statement in an interview on YouTube.
“We are doing Dota on a daily basis. I hope that by the end of 2024 we will have something that we can not be proud of, but at least say: 'Please, fans, here it is'.” “Dota is still the most popular discipline in the CIS, we have the majority of our audience from there. For us, Dota is very important from any point of view: audience, business, reputation.”
The head of the organization admits that a lot of time was lost while working on the new roster, but states that the club is now trying to establish a dialogue with professional players.
“But maybe we lost time somewhere, somewhere circumstances didn't work out in our favor. But we're trying to get back into the community of professional players and start talking to the community - those we can.”
Virtus.pro currently has four players on the roster, but following the departure of Artem “fng” Barshak, the club has announced plans to completely rebuild the roster. During the interview, Nikolai Petrosyan also said that the organization has already found potential candidates, but negotiations to form a new roster are still underway.
