Valve have released a Dota 2 update, but it did not include a new event. Instead, the developers focused on fixing bugs and various in-game issues.
This was reported on the game’s official website.
Full list of changes:
Fixed a bug where Clinkz’s Skeleton Archers were dealing more damage to buildings than intended.
Fixed a bug where Slark’s Depth Shroud was not granting allies the intended movement speed and health regeneration.
Fixed a bug involving Spectre’s Shadow Step and attack range extension items, which caused the effect to last longer than intended.
Fixed a bug where Muerta’s Gunslinger bonus damage talent did not scale correctly when applied to illusions, resulting in more damage than intended.
Fixed a bug where Turbo mode games would sometimes deduct 2 gold after the ban phase was completed.
Fixed an issue where damage from Largo’s Croak of Genius was proccing other abilities (Batrider’s Sticky Napalm, Searing Signet, and others).
Fixed a performance issue related to network data encoding, which significantly reduced the number of server “hitch” frames.
Reworked how cosmetic items interact with Dota’s network traffic: most cosmetic items now consume zero network bandwidth after the match starts, improving both client and server performance.
Fixed a bug where cosmetic items were being created every time a hero spawned, gradually reducing performance.
Items equipped only in ability effect slots no longer appear as if they are equipped on the hero in post-game or MVP screens.
It was also revealed which esports game is the most popular on Twitch — Dota 2 is only in third place.
