Currently, more than 40 employees are working on Dota 2, which is above the average, although not the maximum, according to a statement made by the commentator Troels "syndereN" Nielsen during the We Say Things podcast on YouTube.
"I don't know the details of how Yatoro visited the company's office. But someone we know, who doesn't want his name to be mentioned, confirmed to me that there are currently 40 to 50 people in the Dota 2 development team"
This is quite an interesting statement against the backdrop of announcements about the upcoming events with new arcanas and a wave of interesting things in the coming months. It is quite likely that Valve is preparing something significant for the players, hence the increased number of employees involved in development.
"The team working on 'Dota' is sometimes growing, sometimes shrinking. It's not 100%, but my informed guest, based on information from Valve employees, concluded that there are currently more people working on Dota 2 than on average. Not the highest number in the history of the game, but above average"
So far, Valve has not commented on such statements and has not made any additional announcements regarding Frostivus or a new event in Dota 2.
