There has been suspicious activity on the Dota 2 servers so, it may turn out that Valve is gearing up to release the much awaited major 7.38 patch sometime in this week alongside start of the Frostivus event.
These observations were shared by dataminers on the Telegram channel “Dota of Stepan”.
"We are expecting 7.38 + Frostivus this week"
From the dataminers’ predictions , it can be expected that the players will see the 7.38 patch and the festive event start by the end of the week. This is possible because many changes have been seen in the Dota 2 test servers recently.
If however, Valve does plan to release the patch it is most likely going to be between the 19th and 20th of December because of the patterns from past big updates.
But so far, Valve has yet to make any of the official announcements and the Crownfall event is on-going in the game. It remains ambiguous how the two events are going to be fitted together.
Initially, fans proposed some radical changes to Dota 2 by suggesting Valve to submerge some portion of the map.
