Valve has finally confirmed that a new update is coming to Dota 2, but noted that the release will have to wait.
The official Dota 2 website said.
“We at Valve always try to embrace unpredictability and let the data set the path of development. Because of this, our products don't always release at the scheduled time. However, we hope you enjoy them - when they're ready”
The developers emphasized that they don't always meet deadlines, and the release may have to wait. As an example, Valve mentioned the work on Crownfall, the release of which was also repeatedly postponed for the sake of a better result.
This statement was the first official announcement of the new event, but it is still unknown when we should expect a major update and what exactly will be included in it.
Also, judging by the blog statement, it can be assumed that the new content is already in the testing phase, but it is probably planned to be refined for the sake of improving the gaming experience for fans.
Recall, earlier Valve released the biggest Deadlock update, which dramatically changed the game.
