Key changes:
Map redesign and game structure:
The map has been redesigned: there are now three lanes instead of four, changing the strategic approach to matches. This led to updates to paths, neutral camps, and visual elements for greater dynamics.
New movement mechanics have been introduced, including enhanced zip lines and fast travel routes inspired by Bioshock Infinite, allowing quicker movement between zones.

Updated shop and economy:
A complete redesign of the shop, with new items, simplified navigation, and a quick-buy system to accelerate gameplay.
The "soul-based" monetary system has been revamped: collecting souls from enemies and using them in the central urn has become more intuitive, with new comeback mechanics.
Interface and gameplay improvements:
The user interface has been updated: cooldown indicators, effect markers, and a new stats page have been added, making it easier to track progress and plan actions.
Twelve new item slots (sockets) have been introduced, expanding build customization.
The build system has been improved: players can now save and mark their preferred builds directly within the interface.
Hero and item balance:
Minor adjustments have been made to heroes, with some, like Pocket, becoming dominant in the meta due to enhanced abilities.
There are balance issues with certain items and zip lines, as well as bugs related to mob waves.
All heroes have received a +0.5 sprint speed increase, speeding up the overall game tempo.
New mechanics and content:
Experimental elements have been added, such as updated teleports and ropes for interacting with the environment, making positioning more flexible.
Cosmetic improvements have been added to the shop, including new skins and visual effects.
Notably, many Dota 2 fans were stunned by such a large update to Deadlock. They had expected Valve to release a major update for the MOBA, but they did not receive an event or large patch as anticipated.
