A streamer and former esports player, Yaroslav "NS" Kuznetsov, said that The International could have been a complete festival dedicated to all games of the company including CS2, Artifact and others.

He made this remark on Twitch.

“At some point it looked like The International could become a tournament/festival akin to BlizzCon for Blizzard but for Valve. When they announced Artifcat everyone though it would be part of The International. They said there will be million dollar Artifact tournaments like Dota 2. People were thinking that TI would cover Dota and Artifact. And if The International had Dota 2 and Artifact why not CS2 or something else. However, instead of becoming a place for Company product announcements, potentially. But instead of that which festival? We do not have any more International”

Additionally, he reminded the audience that earlier Valve had organized one big tournament in Artifact with huge prize pool so many people thought it was the beginning of changing TI from just being a World Championship in Dota 2 into something more like BlizzCon where they announce every single new Valves game including CS2.

According to NS, however developers did not take this opportunity and now things are much worse than before as revealed by him who is an ex- professional gamer. According to the former esport player there are no longer any plans for festival celebrations and The International is long gone.

It must be remembered that Roman "RAMZES666" Kushnarev had previously expressed his dissatisfaction over how Valve dealt with their approach towards The International 2024.
