David “MoonMeander” Tan said that his main responsibility is to bring together the ideas of the
Tundra Esports Dota 2 players, uniting the team into a single whole.
The esports club coach spoke about this on Twitch.
"I realized that some players need to be given more freedom, while others need more help. But my most important role in the team is to bring ideas together. To bring the team together as a whole, because if everyone does their own thing, everything will fall apart."
Talking about the beginning of his career as a Dota 2 coach, David “MoonMeander” Tan said that he began to think about it during his last year playing for
TSM, when he started having problems playing on the line. The esports player realized that his performance as a player was declining, so he decided to try his hand at coaching. He also noted that Jonas “SabeRLight-” Volek helped the esports player realize his potential in his new role.
"It all started with TSM. I knew that this would be my last year as a player. I was on the line with SabeRLighT- at the time, and we weren't doing very well. For the most part, it was because of me. We were called the ‘best friends line’. I was blamed, the line was bad, and that name came about because we had the same networth. After that, I was like, “Okay, I'll become a coach.” SabeRLighT- made me a coach.
Let's recall that William “Blitz” Lee also talked about how his career as a coach for
Team Liquid's Dota 2 roster began.
