“Not much time has passed. You don’t miss the pro scene—you miss the people. You interact with people a lot—you travel with them, hang out with them—and then you’re just sitting at home. There’s a big difference in that regard.”

According to Alexander “TORONTOTOKYO” Hertek, the esports player misses not so much the professional career itself, but rather the people he used to interact with. The player feels a stark contrast between his home life and the fast-paced lifestyle of a Tier 1 pro-scene competitor.
