Alexander "TORONTOTOKYO" Hertek lost seven consecutive games after transitioning to his main account due to the wave of smurf bans.

After playing seven games in the last eight days, the player's Win Rate was 0%. Currently, TORONTOTOKYO has played fifteen matches, raising the win rate to 33.3% due to five subsequent victories.

Valve's wave of smurf account bans affected many professional Dota 2 players. Ilya "Yatoro" Mulyarchuk received bans on most of his accounts, after which he criticized the developers for selective blocking.
