Topson repeated Yatoro's ritual, and Tundra Esports defeated the main favorites of The International 2024

Topias "Topson" Taavitsainen, the mid laner of Tundra Esports, partially replicated Ilya "Yatoro" Mulyarchuk's ritual of shaving his hair at The International 2024, and his team triumphantly defeated the main favorites of the tournament.

It was noted online that the two-time world champion had grown a mustache, maintaining his style throughout the group stage. However, during the playoffs of TI13, he suddenly decided to shave his hair. This was immediately compared to the legendary ritual of Yatoro. Many esports players believe that shaving gives a buff for winning the tournament.

Some even believe that this was the reason Tundra Esports managed to defeat Team Falcons 2:0, which both viewers and analysts of the Dota 2 World Championship found hard to believe.

Nevertheless, Topson only shaved his mustache and beard, but it’s possible that closer to the end of the tournament, he might decide to shorten his haircut or even shave his hair entirely, similar to what Raddan (Yatoro) did in the previous tournament.
