Leamare at The International 2023

Valve has terminated the contract with Ivan "Leamare" Silakov-Volynsky for coverage of the Dota 2 championship, The International 2023, during the event itself. The company became aware of his role as an analyst at Tundra Esports.

The caster himself shared this story on his Telegram channel.

Leamare was invited to TI12 as part of the English-language studio casting team, but it was not clarified that he was also affiliated with Tundra Esports. After this information came to light, the contract was terminated, as it violated Valve's rules that talents should not be affiliated with teams.

Leamare himself emphasized that he has no grievances against Valve, as they parted ways amicably. After the group stage, he will continue to work at TI12 as a volunteer statistician, as this is not prohibited by the rules.

However, Silakov-Volynsky revealed that PGL, the organizer of the English coverage, refused to pay for his flight to Seattle and accommodation due to the terminated contract. He received a similar response from Tundra, and he himself does not have enough money for this, so he turned to his subscribers on social media for help.
