Thousands of CS2 accounts were banned on FACEIT

The FACEIT platform carried out the biggest ban wave of 2026, with more than 2.6 thousand CS2 player accounts being blocked.

There were quite a lot of reasons for the bans, and players who violated the rules, were caught using cheats, as well as smurfing, were affected. This was also the biggest ban wave since November 2025, when more than 40 thousand accounts were blocked on the platform.

It is worth noting that Valve were also doing clean-ups and banned thousands of XP farming accounts, even a collector’s account worth over 200 thousand dollars was hit.
