The official Dota 2 YouTube channel was hacked by scammers who launched a stream advertising cryptocurrency. However, Valve quickly restored access to the account.

While the channel was under the control of the attackers, they broadcast a stream advertising the purchase of a meme coin, allegedly officially associated with Dota 2. The scammers urged viewers to buy the coin quickly while it was “still available”
However, the community quickly realized that this was a scam. A heated discussion of the situation immediately began on Reddit, spawning many jokes. Users ironically noted that the purchase of the meme coin allegedly came with
Zeus arcane items and other rare items.
The developers have not yet officially commented on the incident, so it is unknown how exactly the attackers managed to gain access to the account.
