Alexander "Sensibility" Filatov, a professional esports player who was banned by Valve for participating in match-fixing, has accused the
Fantastic Five team of match-fixing. It was in this team that Stanislav "Malr1ne" Potorak began his esports career.
The corresponding statement appeared on Sensibility's Telegram channel.
"I want to congratulate the Falcons team and especially Russia's Malr1ne Sel'sky on their victory in their first major tournament! My post will be about where Malr1ne came from, how he started his esports journey, and who hindered him in achieving his goals!"
According to him, it was Egor "Ark" Zhabotinsky who suggested to him to bet on his defeats to make a profit. And this scheme allegedly brought thousands of dollars in profit.
"I introduced him to my colleagues from China, and we began to consistently bet on the defeats of the Fantastic Five teams, for which Ark Dota 2 received about $5000 in total! One of those matches was on December 22, 2021, between the teams Fantastic Five — CIS Rejects, in which Ark agreed with my Chinese partners on the following: 1 map will end with a handicap victory by kills -14.5 — 15.5 for the CIS Rejects team, the CIS Rejects team will win with the exact score of 2:0, for which Ark received $3000 within the D2CL S6 tournament. Despite the fact that Malr1ne stood mid against Kiyotaka, he couldn't win"
The esports player did not clarify whether the teammates of
Fantastic Five received any benefits from this or whether they were unaware of possible involvement in match-fixing. However,
Team Falcons or Malr1ne himself have not commented on this situation so far.
Recall that Malr1ne surprised fans with his behavior after his team's victory at BetBoom Dacha Dubai 2024.
