Sumail “Sumail” Hassan stated that The International 2026 will likely be his final tournament in his Dota 2 pro career.
The player made this announcement on Twitch.
“We tried really hard and looked pretty good. We were in the top-3 bracket last night. We had a good series today, but something went wrong. As for the team, I don’t know what will happen. This is probably my last tournament. Of course, I’ll still think it over. But I don’t see myself continuing.
Thank you all for your support. The last couple of years have been tough. But it’s you guys who make Dota incredible—we’re just playing. I really appreciate it.”
Acording to a statement by Sumail “Sumail” Hassan, this decision is not final at this point, as
Nigma Galaxy’s strong performance has made him want to reconsider it; however, he currently does not see himself continuing on the pro scene, acknowledging that the last few years have been quite difficult for him.
As a reminder, Andreas “Cr1t” Nielsen previously hinted at an iminent end to his career.
