Team Yandex withdrew from 1win Essence

The esports organization Team Yandex has officially withdrawn from the 1win Essence I Dota 2 tournament.

The announcement was made on Telegram.

“We are forced to withdraw from 1win Essence I

Two of our players have encountered non-gaming-related issues that require their immediate attention.

Playing the tournament with even more substitutes is not an option we are willing to consider, so we have decided to withdraw.

Thank you to the 1win Essence I team for your understanding.

See you very soon—at the BLAST Slam!"

According to the esports organization’s official statement, two players from Team Yandex’s Dota 2 roster will be unable to participate in the tournament, and the team does not want to play with multiple substitutes. It is worth noting that Team Falcons, Team Liquid, and Aurora have already withdrawn from the tournament. Team Yandex received a direct invite to 1win Essence; the team was supposed to start its run in the playoffs, skipping the group stage of the tournament.

As a reminder, Team Yandex previously announced Dmitry “DM” Dorokhin as a replacement for 1win Essence.
