Dmitry “Korb3n” Belov, Team Spirit manager, said that salaries in Dota 2 academy rosters are approximately $10–15 thousand

He mentioned this during a stream on Twitch.

“Salaries in the academy are around $10–15 thousand”

Fans immediately noticed that even for tier-1 teams such a salary is rare. Most likely Korb3n meant that up to $15 thousand is earned not by one player, but by the whole team, possibly including the coach.

If this is the case, then dividing this amount, young esports players may earn from $2 to $3 thousand per month.

It’s also worth to remind that the Team Spirit manager mentioned how much MMR is needed to get into a tier-1 roster.
