Team Spirit unexpectedly declined to participate in a prestigious Dota 2 project: what happened

Team Spirit applied to the Esports World Cup Foundation to become part of the club funding program but did not make it into the project. The organization still doesn't know the exact reason for the rejection.

The club shared this information in a comment on CYBERSLOVO Telegram channel.

According to them, they applied along with other clubs under the same conditions but somehow were not included among the world champions of Dota 2 as stated by the foundation. It should be noted that participation list is quite large and many were surprised why one of the most famous clubs didn’t get into EWC program.

Just to remind you, within Esports World Cup Foundation programme, 30 clubs will receive financial support. Each of them will be given six-figure sums for carrying out their activities and taking part in Esports World Cup tournaments.
