Mark "Sikle" Lerman, an analyst at
Team Spirit, shared information that Valve allegedly plans to increase the deductions from Compendium sales from 25% to 30%, which will significantly increase the prize pool of The International 2025.
He shared this on his Telegram channel.
"According to rumors: the prize pool for the International will be 30% instead of 25% from the sale of the Compendium (which will be released next week, since it's the weekend now). Completion date: September 24"
According to him, information has begun to circulate that Valve wants to increase the prize pool of TI14 by raising deductions for teams. Also, according to him, the Battle Pass analogue itself should be released next week and will last until September 24. However, Sikle does not undertake to predict what the prize pool will be, emphasizing that it will also depend on the contents of the Compendium 2025.
"Another interesting point: the contents of the Compendium also affect the prize pool. It is not known what exactly it will be, but it is assumed that these are team sets: autographs, stickers, voicelines and all that kind of stuff"
Recall that earlier Jonas "SabeRLighT" Volek called on Valve to share the profits of The International 2025 with the players, explaining the system.
