Jonas “SabeRLighT” Volak, Team Liquid offlaner, called on Valve to increase the share of proceeds from Compendium sales to the prize pool from 25% to 75%, which, in his opinion, would make the Dota 2 World Championship spectacular again.

He explained the new system on his X (Twitter) page.

"Previously, Valve created all the content for the Battle Pass, and the prize pools were already very large, so it made sense that only 25% of BP sales went to the prize pool. However, now, with the exception of stickers, all content is created by the teams themselves. So it would be logical to increase the share to 50-75%, raising the TI prize pool from $3 million to a respectable $5 million!"

SabeRLighT emphasized that Valve used to be responsible for all content for The International, so the 25% deduction seemed fair. However, now, according to him, the Compendium is filled with the efforts of the teams themselves, and it is worth increasing the share to 50% or even 75%.

“Everyone will win! TI is undoubtedly the biggest tournament, pro players are happy, Valve can focus on not dealing with Battle Pass, and TI participants will have an additional incentive to make cool content for team bundles!”

In his opinion, this would not only increase the prize pool to $5 million, but also give esports players an additional incentive, which would boost the popularity of Dota 2. If Valve increased the percentage of deductions to The International prize pool to 75%, the TI13 prize pool could be around $5.12 million.

As a reminder, Anton “Dyrachyo” Shkredov previously made an unexpected statement about a Nigma Galaxy player.
