Team Spirit revealed the real reason behind Gaimin Gladiators' failures following Dyrachyo's kick

According to Illya “Illidan” Pivtsaev, a Team Spirit streamer, Gaimin Gladiators losing streak stems from their unwillingness to overhaul strategies with the departure of Anton “Dyrachyo” Shkredov, which is why Alimzhan “Watson” Islanbekov is floundering.

The streamer pointed this out in a Twitch stream:

“It is actually an unfortunate trait of all successful teams and systems: They find it incredibly hard to change. You would have been on top for 2-3 years winning everything with near the same setup, and now, you are just seeing someone does not cut the slack. You fire them and realize, oh man, this whole puzzle is worse than what you had before. You get to a point when everything is assume, and no one has a better idea of how to approach things, but you need to learn how to play"

As Illidan recognized, this problem could have been avoided if the team had played to the strengths of Watson, but it is not something a team of such caliber can easily do. The streamer noted that after Dyrachyo was cut, the entire system that the team was accustomed to for years started disintegrating because the team has always played that way.

“As Illidan points out, ‘the reason why they’re losing right now is because they haven’t adapted their gameplay to Watson at all. They’re all playing poorly. Well, I won’t say anything about the cores. I think the supports are still doing a lot to turn the games around”

Support players within Gaimin Gladiators are still performing and gaining points for the squad even though, as Illidan explains, ‘the cores are being heavily critiqued.’
