Yaroslav “Miposhka” Naidenov, the captain of
Team Spirit, expressed that his team was beaten by
Tundra Esports because of shoddy drafts and general exhaustion among the players.
The two-time Dota 2 world champion did so while review the tournaments disappointment on his Telegram channel.
“The series against Tundra is over. I wish we wouldn't have lost and gotten eliminated from the tournament. We lost and the draft for game three was pretty bad. They changed their bans a bit, and we had to improvise. I think somewhere along the line we did not improvise well enough. Among all the lags, I do think it would have been hard for us to win anyways"
Miposhka observed how
Team Spirit started the tournament strong, but ultimately lost because of their drafts. He also claims that the team was able to rest, but not fully, which impacted their performance against
Tundra Esports.
"We kicked off the tournament strongly, but after two days off, things began to go south. We didn’t take a break during that time, which ultimately hurt our performance. I’d say it took a toll on us mentally. We reset, had a discussion, and confidently beat Xtreme, but, with Tundra, it turned out how it did"
Not so long ago, Anton "Dyrachyo" Shkredov made a baffling remark following the match when
Tundra Esports beat
Team Spirit.
