Dmitry "Korb3n" Belov, manager of Team Spirit, stated that Patch 7.41 did not put all teams on equal footing and pointed out the advantages gained by Tundra Esports.

He spoke about this during an ESL tournament.

“I think Tundra obviously benefits from this patch. This is almost the only true LAN of the year — a real LAN — and every team prepares for it, absolutely every team.

You can say all you want that everyone is on equal terms, but that’s simply not true. It’s obvious that depending on which heroes were buffed and which heroes are signature picks for certain teams — those teams are more likely to benefit.

I won’t even get into who adapts faster and who doesn’t. It’s simpler than that: the patch drops, we play the next day, while someone else plays two days later. Some teams have two days to prepare for the new patch, others have only one.”

Korb3n noted that teams were not in equal conditions due to the major changes introduced in the patch. According to him, because of buffs to certain heroes and items, Tundra Esports clearly came out ahead.

He also pointed out that not all teams had the same amount of time to prepare for the tournament on the new patch, which he considers unfair.

Additionally, the manager expressed frustration that the patch was released in the middle of one of the biggest LAN tournaments, calling the situation absurd.
