Team Spirit stated that they found themselves in a disadvantaged position at Riyadh Masters 2024

Dmitry "Korb3n" Belov, the manager of Team Spirit, believes that his team was deliberately scheduled to play their first match against Team Falcons to make a strong opening statement at Riyadh Masters 2024.

He mentioned this in his Telegram channel.

"The schedule didn't quite favor us. Ideally, starting against a team from the play-ins would have been better since you already know their playstyle. But we have what we have. Plus, the organizers clearly wanted a loud opening match. I don't think there could be a louder match than Falcons versus Team Spirit in Riyadh right now"

According to him, it's hard to imagine a more intense match at Riyadh Masters 2024, making it challenging for last year's tournament winners to face Team Falcons in the debut match. Korb3n admitted that this start won't be easy for the team but emphasized that it will set them up well for the playoffs.
