Oliver “Skiter” Lepko stated that his squad had a terrible performance in the top set final against
Gaimin Gladiators. The cyber athlete believes that the result of the match was influenced by his well-being, as well as unsuccessful draft picks.
The
Team Falcons carry shared his opinion in his post-match interview at DreamLeague Season 23. The tournament is being broadcast on Twitch.
“In yesterday's match against Gladiators we showed a bad game. Literally an hour before the start of the match, I felt terribly sick and then threw up.
I felt a little lighter, I tried to play the match to the best of my ability, but.... Now I feel better.
After the match we discussed our mistakes, talked about the Storm/Klinkz connection. I felt bad, but because of the draft we would have lost anyway, probably.
I always try to eat healthy, avoid scenarios like that. Getting sick sucks.”
The
Gaimin Gladiators' win secured the team's first slot in the tournament's grand finals. However,
Team Falcons have a chance to bounce back in the deciding match of the championship as the team clinched the second slot from
BetBoom Team via the lower grid.
Recall that earlier Ammar “ATF” Al-Assaf named the most useless player in the lineup in the match against
Tundra Esports.
