Talon Esports are reportedly facing serious financial problems and still owe an investor known as Hedgedhog $75,000 in interest after borrowing $1 million from him.

Hedgedhog revealed this on his X (Twitter) page, hinting at the club’s difficult situation.

“Two months ago, Talon came to me asking to borrow $1 million. They said they would return it in 1–2 weeks, but it dragged on for almost two months.

The principal was repaid last Friday, but they still owe me $75,000 in interest and are ignoring my messages.

I want to draw the attention of all your players and staff to your behavior, the fact that you still owe me money, and that you had to borrow from others in order to pay me back.

I’ll let everyone draw their own conclusions about Talon’s financial situation”

From Hedgedhog’s words, the organization not only delayed repayment but was also forced to borrow money from other investors to settle his loan. His comments suggest that Talon Esports financial state is far from stable. Some users also recalled past issues with unpaid prize winnings for the Dota 2 roster, which may coincide with the timing of Hedgedhog’s loan.

Many fans fear that the team may face the same fate as Gaimin Gladiators, where, according to insiders, problems also began with delayed prize payouts.

However, Talon Esports CEO Sean Zhang quickly responded to the situation, calling it a misunderstanding and stating that the issue would soon be resolved.

“This was simply a misunderstanding with our accounting. They sent the $1 million but didn’t include the interest.

As CEO, I take full responsibility for this misunderstanding and will conduct an internal review to see what went wrong and how to fix it.

I regret that Hedgedhog’s post was made in such a hostile manner, as we could have resolved this much more civilly”

Previously, it was reported who could replace Gaimin Gladiators at The International 2025.
