Avery «SVG» Silverman stated that Edgar «9Class» Naltakyan has become predictable and cannot play in a different style, which turned into his main weakness on the Dota 2 pro scene.
The former esports player said this during the Last Free Nation DotA podcast
“PARIVISION is not as strong as it may seem based on their results. I don’t believe in PARIVISION without Astini, even though I can’t really explain why. It just feels like they won’t be able to keep developing and surprising everyone
In a way they have become too predictable. A year ago 9Class was that X factor. People didn’t understand what he was doing. He was doing all these weird things around the map, using the map better than others. But everyone has already studied him, they understand what is happening. They know what he will play. They got used to all the weird stuff, some of it was simply fixed. This is a huge loss for the team and I don’t know how they will recover from it
And you can’t make him play in a different style. You just can’t. It feels like his brain is melted by TikTok. He has the most severe ADHD out of all the players we’ve seen – he just has to play Slark and MK. ‘I went in, I went out. I jumped on a tree, I jumped off a tree’. That’s all he can do. He can’t stack creeps. He gets bored. All that’s left is to hope that he finds heroes again for his style that will be broken in a specific meta”
SVG also noted that
PARIVISION are no longer as strong as before, especially after their coach left. He also separately went after 9Class, pointing out that the player has become too predictable. He explained that if before no one knew what to expect from the support, now the situation is completely the opposite.
The analyst believes that now 9Class will only be able to return to his former level if a favorable meta appears, one that fits his unconventional Dota 2 playstyle.
Earlier Valve started selling event items in Dota 2 for real money, which previously could only be obtained by playing matches.
