Alexey 'Solo' Berezin, former captain of
9 Pandas, stated that he is not sure yet if he wants to continue his esports career and may leave the Dota 2 pro scene after The International 2024.
He discussed this during an interview with KD CAST.
“And here we are—I turn 34 in August. I've played this season now and still haven't decided whether it's worth continuing to play”
The esports athlete noted that he doesn't know for sure what he'll do after TI13, currently weighing the pros and cons. He mentioned that he's currently in a phase of rest and recovery after the season and doesn't plan any sudden changes.
“I haven't thought about it yet. Right now, I'm in a phase of resting. I want to gather strength, carefully weigh all the pros and cons, and make a decision later on. Especially since the reshuffle period will only come after TI. And basically, after such a long segment on the sports side, there's no rush to change anything abruptly”
The pro player also admitted that he had planned to retire long ago, even after The International 2018, but due to his love for Dota 2, he constantly changed his mind.
Earlier, Solo stepped down as captain of
9 Pandas and is currently up for transfer.
