Jingjun “Sneyking” Wu stated that following DreamLeague 28,
Team Falcons’ Dota 2 roster found itself in a critical situation.
The player’s statement was posted on Telegram.
“We performed pretty well at DreamLeague 28, but we had to play with stand-ins. After that, the atmosphere deteriorated. Malr1ne was very upset; he felt that Skiter and I weren’t giving it our all. At that point, people were already saying that I wasn’t in top form, and the scrutiny on me was more intense. The situation was almost critical then. The team was on the brink.”
According to the esports player, the team performed reasonably well at DreamLeague 28 while playing with substitutes, which had a very negative impact on the team’s atmosphere after Ammar “ATF” al-Assaf’s return. Sneyking noted that the team had long discussed their future prospects in order to reach a consensus and continue playing together. However, if
Team Falcons’ results do not improve by the end of the year, serious changes to the roster are possible.
“We had to discuss everything internally for a long time to give it one more chance, try to defend the title, and continue playing together. At the same time, everyone understood: if the results are poor this year, serious changes are quite possible, up to a complete roster overhaul. Any scenario is possible right now.”
As a reminder, Oliver “skiter” Lepko previously explained why
Team Falcons are keeping their Dota 2 roster unchanged.
