Melchior “Seleri” Hillekamp stated that he plans to become a game developer or a politician after his career in professional Dota 2 ends.
The player made this announcement on YouTube.
“I’m interested in game development, but I don’t want to say anything until I’ve decided. I don’t know how to code yet, but I want to learn if I do decide to become a developer. I want to do it myself. Finally, there will be a 1v1 mid.
I’m not 100% sure yet. It’s nice not to be certain right now. Because when you’re playing, you always know what’s coming next. There’s always the next event, and you live from one mark on the calendar to the next. It’s nice to have some unscheduled time.
Maybe I’ll get into politics. We have a political party here in the Netherlands that focuses primarily on animal welfare. Maybe I’ll start by volunteering.”
According to Melchior “Seleri” Hillekamp, the esports player has always been interested in game development, but at the moment he lacks the programming knowledge to know whether he’d enjoy pursuing that path. The player also did not rule out the possibility of joining a political party dedicated to animal welfare, starting with volunteer work.
As a reminder, Melchior “Seleri” Hillekamp also explained why he has no plans to resume his career in professional Dota 2.
