Jonas "SabeRLight-" Volek confessed that
Team Falcons considered him as a potential candidate, but the esports athlete chose to play for
Shopify Rebellion. Additionally, the player stated that he is considering the possibility of joining one of the European teams in the future.
The
Shopify Rebellion offlaner shared this information with viewers during the ALL CHAT podcast on Cap Casts' YouTube channel.
"In my view, I was invited to
Team Falcons instead of ATF. They were considering either him or me. However, I leaned towards joining Shopify Rebellion because I was curious to see how things would unfold and how the team would take shape. Besides, I received random invitations from
OG,
Entity, and similar teams, which theoretically could have worked out.
At some point in my career, I want to return to Europe. I will make a move similar to Quinn's: I will play in North America, then return to Europe and become an experienced player."
Shopify Rebellion secured a slot in the closed qualifiers for ESL One Birmingham 2024 in the North American region, but in the BetBoom Dacha Dubai 2024 qualifiers, the team lost to
Heroic in the lower bracket final, losing the opportunity to contend for a spot in the main tournament. In the DreamLeague Season 22 qualifiers,
Shopify Rebellion also became champions of the region, earning a slot in the main championship.
Team Falcons surprised fans by winning all January qualifiers, going undefeated in two tournaments and securing a slot in DreamLeague Season 22. They faced a setback in the upper bracket final against
PSG Quest but redeemed themselves in the crucial battle for the slot after defeating
Winter Bear.

As a reminder, earlier,
Gaimin Gladiators' midlaner Quinn "Quinn" Callahan named the main reason for the failures of the current
Nigma Galaxy lineup.
