Robin “Ropz” Kohl admitted that Danil “Donk” Kryshkovets’ stats scared him before their first official match.
The player’s statement was published on EscoreNews.
"I don’t remember if I played against Donk before the official match or not. Before the match at IEM Katowice 2024, his stats scared me. I thought, ‘Is this a joke or reality? Will he put up the same numbers against us?’ Match after match, people were writing that opponents were getting ‘donked.’ That hapened to us, too. It was a strange feeling. He was getting one or two kills every round. To be honest, I’d like to forget that match. But I know one thing—it was a tough final.”
Acording to Robin “Ropz” Kolya, Danil “Donk” Kryshkovets was putting up very impressive results at the time, dominating opponents in every round. Ropz feared that the same situation would arise in the match against Faze at IEM Katowice 2024, a team the esports player was on at the time. Moreover, the player admitted that it was one of the most difficult matches he would like to forget.
As a reminder, Alexey “OverDrive” Biryukov previously named Danil “Donk” Kryshkovets the most significant player in CS2 history.
