Talking about how Dmitry “DM” Dorokhin became the coach of the
9Pandas roster, Roman “RAMZES666” Kushnarev stated that the team originally invited Clement “Puppey” Ivanov for the role, but he later joined the team, replacing one of the players.
The pro-player told the corresponding story on Twitch.
“How did you take DM in pandas? Well we wanted Puppey, and there was a situation that Puppey agreed, and then, because the dude was not given a visa, Puppey wanted to become a player. And at the moment we were left with no options of who to take, since DM was communicating well with everyone on the team, we decided that there was no extra, but we just didn't have a coach.”
Also Roman “RAMZES666” Kushnarev stated that Dmitry “DM” Dorokhin also contributed to the team, and without a coach the squad did not want to play, as it was pointless to leave the position vacant, and DM also showed a desire to join the team.
“Yes DM also contributed in some way. Without a coach, well what without a coach? If there is a coach slot, why not take it. But DM himself also expressed his desire. That's it. That's what we agreed on.”
It should be noted that Klement “Puppey” Ivanov was supposed to replace Alexey “Solo” Berezin at ESL One Berlin Major 2023 on Dota 2, but as a result Vladimir “RodjER” Nikogosyan joined the team.
Recall that earlier Klement “Puppey” Ivanov told the story of the origin of his nickname.
