The legendary Puppey revealed the origin story of his Dota 2 nickname

Clement “Puppey” Ivanov revealed that he came up with his nickname in honor of Metallica's Master of Puppets album, after which he accidentally wrote “Puppey” instead of “Puppet”.

The player made the corresponding statement in an interview with Medium.

“I started using different nicknames. I was a big fan of Master of Puppets, the Metallica album, so I took the nickname Puppet. One day I accidentally mixed it up by writing 'Puppey'. Looked at it, thought, 'Hey, that looks pretty good'.”

The player also revealed in the interview that despite the rather confident start to his career, initially Klement “Puppey” Ivanov wanted to self-realize in the musical sphere. Nevertheless, at the moment the player believes that the time for the end of his cybersport career has not yet come.

Earlier Clement “Puppey” Ivanov expressed his opinion about the OG Dota 2 lineup, calling the team the best in the history of cybersports.
