Quinn Callahan recaled watching Danil “Dendi” Ishutin's guides on the first Dota while learning to play mid.
The player shared this on YouTube.
“I remember watching Dendi's guides on how to play mid. Everyone was watching those damn guides on the first Dota. I couldn't even tell what hero was on the screen, there were just four pixels on the screen. I watched those guides and grew as a player.”
Acording to Quinn “Quinn” Callahan, at a certain point, his MMR grew so much that he began to periodically encounter professionals in matchmaking, which made him think that he could start a career as a pro player himself. By that time, he had started watching Draskyl's streams and sometimes played with him in the same game.
"At some point, my MMR grew so much that I started to occasionally encounter professional players in public matches. Then I thought, ‘Okay, maybe this is possible.’ I liked Draskyl's streams at the time. He wasn't an esports player, but he had a fairly high rating for that time. I played with him in one match, and it was so cool that I even told my family about it. The thought popped into my head that something could come of this."
Earlier, Marcus “Ace” Hoelgaard discussed whether Quinn “Quinn” Callahan's career would resume.
