Gaimin Gladiators decided that Quinn "Quinn" Callahan would no longer participate in 1x1 tournaments, replacing him with Markus "Ace" Hølvold.
Anton "dyrachyo" Shkredov, GG's carry, revealed this in a post-match interview at BetBoom Dacha Dubai 2024.
"Well, Quinn generally won, yes, but he just had a 'flask,' and he played like in regular Dota, not in this 1x1 custom type, and lost by 2 creeps. But it's okay. He won't play anymore. They told him, 'You're not playing 1x1 anymore. Denmark Ace'"
The esports athlete emphasized that Quinn was demoralized after losing to Ilya "Kiritych" Ulyanov in the very first match of the 1x1 tournament. As a result, he lost only 2 creeps and was eliminated from the competition. After this, they decided to replace him with Ace.
Despite being an offlaner, Ace showcased incredible gameplay against
Team Spirit. Moreover, he was the first to achieve a Rampage at BetBoom Dacha Dubai 2024.
Recall that Quinn's victory in the midlaner tournament was revoked, although by most metrics, he outperformed his opponent Kiritych.
