Clément “Puppey” Ivanov said that
PARIVISION gave him the opportunity to try his hand at coaching the Dota 2 team. The esports player noted that the team is currently working on drafts and gameplay quality.
The
PARIVISION coach made this statement on Twitch.
“So far, I'm just trying to be a coach. This is something I wanted to try anyway. We didn't have much time to discuss what to do on the map and so on. So the main thing we're working on right now is drafts. Although, obviously, we need to improve our gameplay somewhere.”
According to Clement “Puppey” Ivanov, he does not impose his vision of drafts on the players, but tries to help them with advice when choosing heroes. The esportsman noted that he considers this approach to be optimal for the
PARIVISION roster. Nevertheless, the team's new coach acknowledged that it is too early to draw conclusions about the quality and future prospects of his work with the team.
"To be honest, I don't see the point in drafting instead of a player. I know it works for some teams, and some people don't want to feel the pressure. But all I need is to strengthen the player who presses the button at the draft. I just help him with everything I can. I think both options work, but I like ours better. I want them to understand in the game why they took something, and not because I told them to. We'll see. Not enough time has passed yet. First and foremost, I'm doing this to see if I like it. Whether I like it or not, we'll find out.
Earlier, Alexander “Nix” Levin commented on the appointment of Clement ‘Puppey’ Ivanov as
PARIVISION coach, comparing him to Airat “Silent” Gaziev from
Team Spirit.
