The PuckChamp team manager announced that the PuckChamp team has been renamed to Old G, and Ivan "Kidaro" Bondarev has moved to the position of analyst.
Zhanna Batkovna:
Team tag change with PGL - May 11 sent a request to change the tag, on May 12 at night the team name was updated on the registration site and in Dota.
This is what I call exceeding expectations, PGL well done.
From today PuckChamp have been renamed to OLD G.
Kidaro will work with the team as an analyst.
Earlier, Old G suffered a technical defeat against PuckChamp in a tiebreaker due to their inability to field a registered roster for the match. Sebastian "Ceb" Debs expressed his dissatisfaction with the Dota Pro Circuit organizers in Western Europe - PGL. As a result, PGL revoked Old G's slot in the closed qualifiers.
However, the Old G players were able to negotiate with PuckChamp to acquire DPC slot, after which they moved to new team. Thus, Old G effectively circumvented the disqualification of tournament organizers by purchasing the slot from the team they were supposed to play in the tiebreaker for that slot. Additionally, Old G now has a manager and analyst. The team will participate in the DPC WEU 2023 Tour 3: Division II.
Old G roster:
- Volodymyr «No[o]ne-» Minenko;
- Topias «Topson» Taavitsainen;
- Sébastien «Ceb» Debs;
- Adam «Aramis» Moroz;
- Kartik «Kitrak» Rathi.
