Tournament organizer PGL on Twitter announced that the Old G got a technical defeat in the Tiebreaker at Dota Pro Circuit Division II in Western Europe against PuckChamp, and left DPC. Reason: couldn't field a valid roster for the match.
PGL:
Old G received a def loss because they cannot field a valid roster. The tournament rules allow only one sub per match. The schedule was shared with the teams on 23 March, and the rulebook was distributed on 28 March.
Roman «Resolut1on» Fomynok stand-in in BetBoom Team at ESL One Berlin Major 2023, and Kartik «Kitrak» Rathi plays in OG instead of Evgenii «Chuvash» Makarov. Therefore, the Old G is missing two players, and PGL rules allow only one substitution per match.
Sébastien «Ceb» Debs:
two players standing in to help out major teams, not allowed to reschedule a game scheduled same time as major to keep our slot for div 2, not allowed to use two standins
PGL, AnekoMerkki, very fun stuff, provided 0 care / help besides stating the rules over & over again
forced us to defloss basically
As a result, PuckChamp took 6th place in the DPC WEU 2023 Tour 2: Division II, and Old G left the Dota Pro Circuit.
Old G roster:
- Volodymyr «No[o]ne-» Minenko;
- Topias «Topson» Taavitsainen;
- Roman «Resolut1on» Fomynok:
- Sébastien «Ceb» Debs;
- Kartik «Kitrak» Rathi.
