Dota 2 players have noted an anomaly with patch 7.37, as it's been over two weeks without a letter patch, something that hasn’t happened in the last 3.5 years.
This observation was shared by user PlayLadCartMan on Reddit.
“I’m surprised a new letter patch hasn’t dropped. For over 3.5 years, there was a letter patch within 1-7 days of a number patch, but this time around it’s been over two weeks without one.
P.S. I’m not criticizing Valve, this is just an observation”
According to the player, it’s the first time in nearly 4 years that developers haven’t released a letter patch to balance the previous one. It’s been over two weeks, and there are significant issues with balance and broken heroes in matchmaking. However, Valve has yet to announce any gameplay updates.
Some users in the comments speculated that this phenomenon might be related to the large number of new abilities and aspects Valve needs to review to balance the game.
Previously, Valve released an urgent update for Dota 2, which returned
Lone Druid to the game after it was causing server crashes.
