The organizers of the PGL Wallachia 2024: Season 1 tournament announced the invited teams, surprising the Dota 2 community with their selection. Some participants have raised questions about the logic behind the invitations to the tournament.

Among the participating teams are renowned squads such as Team Spirit, Gaimin Gladiators, and this season's stars - Team Falcons. However, there are also teams that have raised eyebrows by receiving a direct invitation to the tournament, where the teams will compete for a prize pool of 1 million dollars.

The community had mixed reactions to such a selection of teams. Commentator Alexey "STORM" Tumanov immediately questioned how Team Secret ended up on the list of invited teams.

"Invitations to the PGL tournament. Why are they like this? Zero ideas and explanations. Overall, the lineup is not bad. It's interesting if there will be qualifiers, and a couple of invites look ambiguous"

It's worth noting that earlier, the organizers of The International announced several Dota 2 tournaments with a huge total prize pool of around 8 million dollars.
