The International organizers have announced a series of new Dota 2 tournaments with a massive prize pool

Tournament organizer PGL has unveiled plans for eight Dota 2 championships with million-dollar prize pools each over the next three years.

The announcement was made on PGL's official website.

The first tournament in this series will be PGL Wallachia, scheduled for May 10-19 in Bucharest, with open and closed qualifiers taking place from March 21 to 28. The main event is expected to feature 16 teams.

The next tournament in 2024 is planned for November 15-24. In 2025 and 2026, PGL plans to host three tournaments annually. The organizer has already released a schedule for upcoming events, although additional details remain undisclosed. It is known that each tournament will have a prize pool of one million dollars, and open qualifiers will be held.

PGL Tournament Schedule:

• PGL Wallachia 2024 — May 10-19, qualifiers March 21-28;

• Second PGL tournament in 2024 — November 15-24, qualifiers September 29 to October 6;

• First PGL tournament in 2025 — March 6-15, qualifiers January 5-12;

• Second PGL tournament in 2025 — April 18-27, qualifiers March 23-30;

• Third PGL tournament in 2025 — November 7-16, qualifiers September 21-28;

• First PGL tournament in 2026 — March 6-15, qualifiers January 4-11;

• Second PGL tournament in 2026 — April 17-28, qualifiers March 22-29;

• Third PGL tournament in 2026 — November 6-15, qualifiers September 27 to October 4.

This PGL initiative follows their successful involvement in three DPC 2023 seasons in Western Europe and North America, as well as organizing The International 2023. The high-quality execution of TI12, including stadium design and other aspects of the world championship, impressed many fans, reflecting the organizer's commitment to top-notch tournament preparation.
