PGL has officially changed the rules of their tournaments and now pro players can be penalized or even fined for frequent use of treshtok during matches.
This was brought to the attention of Reddit users by posting a screenshot to this effect.

“Players should limit the use of general in-game chat to the following instances: wishing good luck to opponents (“GLHF”) at the start of a match and writing “GG” at the end of a game. Excessive or unnecessary use of chat outside of these situations is discouraged. Repeated or inappropriate use of chat may result in warnings or sanctions at the discretion of the tournament administration”
It is noted that players are encouraged to use general chat only for appropriate appeals, and only to wish good luck or thank opponents for playing. It is noted in the rules that now in case of frequent use of unnecessary appeals, probably here meaning treshtok, may be followed by punishment at the discretion of the administration.
In the comments to the post immediately began to joke that
Team Falcons are now in trouble, because they more often than others used trashtalk during matches to take their opponents out.
Recall that earlier Valve removed from the game one of the heroes of Dota 2 because of a critical bug.
