NS stated that the Dota 2 pro scene will collapse in 2026

Yaroslav ‘NS’ Kuznetsov was said to have warned that the year 2026 will be very significant for the Dota scene and in fact would signal the beginning of its downfall.

The streamer was speaking alongside others on a Twitch stream and a fellow former esports player.

“I can't be 100 percent right, but I am more convinced: professional Dota will drop significantly towards the end of 2026. I think some signs will show up earlier yes, but the end of 2026 will be the day when it starts to fall in a really big way. In other words, the benefit will be won on this day”

As per him, it may be argued that at least in his view that prediction does not sound completely complete as it goes but by the period of 2026 he thinks that the number of tournaments and the prize money in the competitions will be much lesser. Still, he maintained that the professional scene will not die completely but it will be at a more reduced scope.

“More updates have been made concerning the current topic. At no point did I ever say that this scenario would lead to an end of the world scenario where everything would be brought to a complete standstill. It will just taper off. It will continue to exist, but on a much smaller scale. Of course, this will not lead to a complete halt of people not being able to engage in gaming. This is simply due to the fact that the gaming community still exists and remains very active”
