Yaroslav “NS” Kuznetsov said that in Dota 2 may appear a new mechanic of full-fledged quests during matches, which will be available to players and rewarded with gold.

The streamer and former cyber athlete revealed this during a broadcast on Twitch.

“I won't be too surprised if in five years there will be quests in Dota. You can get them at the base, in the forest or just at the object. They'll be given to one person: you or an enemy. First you have to fight to get a quest. The quest, for example, will be “kill five centaurs”. You'll get gold for it. Why can't that happen if we already have everything?”

According to him, MOBAs already feature a huge number of mechanics, so it wouldn't be surprising if full-fledged quests also appear. Streamer believes that they will require the destruction of a certain number of creeps or heroes, and are rewarded with gold. He also noted that perhaps such a task will be given to one of the team or one of the opponents for the sake of balance.
